Join us for îbutze îciyabi (to make yourself thirsty), the final event in the Interdisciplinary Dialogue Project 2026: Food Matters series. This event brings Indigenous and Muslim perspectives into conversation around fasting—as an intentional practice, a form of care and discipline, and a necessary reality for many.
Together, we will reflect on how fasting connects mind and body, heart and spirit; strengthens community and responsibility; and highlights the interconnectedness of nourishment, belonging, and justice.
The evening concludes with an Iftar supper.
A collaboration with kihêw waciston, IslamicFamily, the Mosquers, and the Muslim Student Organization at MacEwan.
