"Being Muslim" by Tarjuma Foundation

Being Muslim' is a weekly class that explores the absolute essentials of Islam: belief, worship and lifestyle. This course is ideal for folks who are curious about Islam, newly practicing, or born Muslims who would like a refresher. No background knowledge is required and all questions are welcome.

Together, in a relaxed and friendly environment, we will cover a wide variety of subjects that will give learners not simply a collection of facts, but an understanding of the vision and spirit of Islam. Topics will include: the purpose of life and why we are here, why God sent Prophets, how to learn more about Islam, destiny and fate, basic Muslim belief, how to pray and fast, morality in everyday life, acquiring spiritual purity, the life of the Prophet Muhammad, an introduction to the Quran, developing good character, essential aspects of an ethical lifestyle and more.

This class will be led by Farooq Maseehuddin and is based on the forthcoming book entitled "Being Muslim" by Dr. Asad Tarsin.
